SOILWORK To Record Vocals For Next Album With DEVIN TOWNSEND

March 14, 2006

SOILWORK vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Been home now for a week after the Eastern Europe assault: kick-ass shows, no sleep, more booze than we could handle and looooong drives. A big hail to our Polish, Czech and Hungarian fans!!

"Working on some songs with a shitty acoustic guitar. Man, gotta get myself a home studio… Anyways, it's shaping up good..

"I have some other great news as well, it looks like I will get my ass over to Vancouver to record my vocals there with Mr. Devin Townsend [STRAPPING YOUNG LAD mainman and producer of SOILWORK's 2002 release 'Natural Born Chaos'] for the next album… how about it? We just have to figure out a plan since STRAPPING YOUNG LAD are gonna tour like hell for the upcoming album. Anyways, I talked to Devin and he's definately up for it... I love that guy..."

SOILWORK's latest CD, "Stabbing the Drama", is available now on Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Figure Number Five" was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro and Dug-Out Productions in Uppsala, Sweden with producer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, STUCK MOJO).
